How spoilt are we having all these beautiful buildings right on our doorstep?  Last Friday on our way for drinks we shot these out the back of the Kelvingrove Art Gallery.  Well it’s the front really but not exactly.  The gallery was built to face the River Kelvin and The University of Glasgow but the majority of people enter from the back which sits on Argyle Street.  In my opinion both front and back are incredible.  Spoilt.

Funny when you live somewhere you forget to visit your major sights.  I walk past it most days and can see it from our front windows (if I crane my neck a bit anyway) but have only made it in once in the years we’ve lived so close to it.  When they completed the refurbishments the husband and I spent a few hours there and barely scratched the 2nd floor.  We vowed to go back.  Still planning on it…  My 6 year old nephew, on the other hand. is probably on first name terms with the dinosaurs and could direct you to the Dali.  New game show idea – ‘Are you more culturally diverse than a 6 year old?’ – erm, no, probably not.

This look has just about as much geek as I can handle except I would’ve loved the addition of some glasses.  My friends assure me that if you don’t actually need glasses then it’s not cool.  I’m still wavering.
