Last night saw Fashion Blogging 101 take over Citizen M’s member club as part of Social Media Week.  We were treated to a panel style conference with Glasgow’s top bloggers – street style photographer hero Jon of Les Garçons de Glasgow, Queen Michelle of the phenomenally successful Kingdom Of Style, Sarah of We Shop Therefore We Are, designer Hilary Laing and mediated by Colin Gilchrist.

We covered a wide range of blogging topics from which platforms to use to how to engage your readers to how to bring the blog bacon home and more.  But the highlight for me was chatting with Garçon Jon whose blog I have admired for some time now.  He treated us to a preview of a Hilary Laing video he recently shot and gave us the scoop on his future plans (I’ll keep that a secret for now though).  Bonne chance Jon.

Citizen M provided an amazing backdrop to indulge in a bit of networking complete with Xanté cocktails and Yo!Sushi post conference when I had the chance to catch up with Claire Stuart of Bee Waits For No One – she’s the one with the violet ombre hair who delivered some very exciting news to me (more on that later), and international fashion branding expert Karinna Nobbs – she’s the one with the pencil portrait shirt and hot pink furry tail (I want one).

More Social Media Week engagements today but in the meantime I’ll leave you with some of the husband’s photos from last night – alarmingly he appeared quite at home in a sea of well dressed, attractive women, hmm.
