We recently caught up on some long overdue friend time at Hergés on the Loch in Tweedbank – a bit down south from us in the Borders.  How amazing is the setting?  The frozen loch and the Tintin memorabilia (Hergé was the author).  Inside was cool too and all dressed up for Christmas.  It kind of reminded me of our wedding venue; loads of wood, different levels creating more intimate spaces and beams overhead.

The food was excellent; the main course was inhaled so quick I didn’t even take a picture!  But the passionfruit pannacotta desert did make it onto ‘film’ (not the same saying, ‘made it onto SD card’ is it?) – check out the cute edible spoon on the side!

The drink was flowing.  Did you say 40 jaegerbombs?  Surely not.  Well, I guess it’s possible…There were 9 of us.  Oh, and some Café Patrons?  No doubt.

The DJ tunes were classic party.

The hosts had the absolute mosts.

And the company was the cherry on top of a truly awesome night.

Thanks friends!x
