I have big plans for February. There’s going to be a lot of staying home! Last month I travelled a lot; with work to Paris then up North with friends quickly followed by an overnight in London for the Marie Claire Blog Awards. I’ll be happy not to see an orange plane for a few weeks (unless it’s taking me to the ski slopes that is… a girl can dream).
I tested my French vocab to new limits stretching well beyond my usual suspects of ‘a quelle heure…?’ and ‘deux vins chauds’ and learnt a few new ones including ‘mélange’ – mixture.
There was a lot of truly amazing food, including a 10 course meal. I even found a red wine I enjoyed so much I drank a full glass (never before has this occurred) – I asked the name but was assured I wouldn’t be able to afford it anyway so am none the wiser other than knowing that it’s out there and probably French!
