Scarabs are meant to symbolise wealth and power so perhaps it’s ironic that I paired my little guy with my ripped up Gap jeans (which are getting more and more bust up with every wear these days – just as well I have another pair in waiting) and the husband’s jacket which probably makes me look a little like a tiny fashionable(?) hobo.
Tested out the jacket on the shoulder thing and you know what? I liked it. I saw the ever stylish Maegan do it a couple of times recently and she complained it fell off all the time but I didn’t find that – maybe because the shoulders in this jacket are made for big rugby players, not lady bloggers. Only problem I had was in the car… kept belting my arms in under the belt like a straight jacket!
Well, life got the better of our weekend and our plans didn’t pan out but we did enjoy family brunches and late night cake walks (those are the kind where you say it’s ok to eat a big wedge of cake because you walked to the deli to fetch it).
