Let’s just say there’s a good chance that press day at House of Fraser is going to be expensive for me. Excited to see some contemporary newcomers to the store this AW including Iro, Equipment, McQ and Acne. Sherri was kind enough to show me round and talk me (out of my monthly wage) round the new pieces currently in and coming soon.
My highlights:
- A new accessories range from Mary Portas with totally affordable suede pouches (the orange one in my mitts above).
- Amazing prints and textures at Biba including these leopard foil print jeans and this feathered cape styled over a leather (but you know me, I’d have it over a simple tee…)
Simple silk Equipment blouses… one day friends, one day…
Detailing on the Label Lab collarless biker jacket.
The shape and the weight and the cut, oh right, and the huge pockets, on the McQ LBD.
And then there was the Sophie Hulme… the girls were pretty excited to be one of the few stores soon to be stocking this little beauty. I share their excitement – this is the bag we all want and now we can see it, smell it, taste it (maybe not taste then…). I mean, a bag with a whistle? I need that in my life.

Love your post! House of Fraser is a department store I didn’t usually go to when I visited London. But it seems to me they have changed to a more contemporary style and I love how you can order on line from the store. I need the bag with the whistle too!
