These trees…

ThankFifi-Hunter-11

Seems I’ve come over all equestrian in a bid to show off the new Hunter boots.  There was a white shirt over as well which really completed the dressage theme but it got a little warm in the sun so I ditched it.  (Not like the old dude in the Botanics who’d ditched his shirt and was sunning his naked belly, it was warm… but not that warm.  Put it away, it’s 12 degrees, you have shamed yourself).

Such a wonderful weekend filled with my favourite things – friends, baby cuddles (he said my name too!  5 minutes after saying the husbands’…), a chocolate making masterclass, sunshine, lazy brunches and family walks through the trees.  These trees, I tell you, they’re blowing my mind right now with their colours – I think it’s so much more special because I know it’s only a moment in time which will be over too fast.  Either that or I’m getting old…

knit – Mango (similar here)
skinny pant – H&M (last seen here)

funny how it just turned out that way – it was only when I looked in the mirror I thought ‘huh, where’s my horse?’

Hunter have been coming out with some really great, super stylish styles recently – I’m going to have to treat myself a lovely new pair to wear in London when I return to England, and keep my current pair caked in god knows how much mud for the countryside! I could buy a pair now, as bizarrely they sell them in all the department stores in Los Angeles, but I honestly can’t stop myself laughing when I see people buying them – or when I saw everyone wearing them on the one day we had ‘heavy’ rain (read, about half an hour of English drizzle!)

    • Thankfifi Posted 23 Oct at 12:13 am

I can only imagine! Plenty of real proper rain here just waiting for your return…

      me too 😉

I was recently looking into buying a nice pair of Hunter boots and I really like the one you have, the black and gold details are a great match!!

    • Thankfifi Posted 23 Oct at 8:31 am

I like that they are leather too – makes them feel more like a boot but still with the practical element of a welly. There are some gorgeous tweed ones too.

  12. Monica Beatrice Posted 23 Oct at 3:42 pm

Wow the colour of the leaves really is beautiful Wendy!! And your apparel matches a treat – so so pretty!

I am waiting for the London mist/smog to clear so that I can actually see the gorgeous Autumn leaves we have!! So far, not so good….!!!

Me and the bairn had a lovely lovely time too!! To quote John, “tank oo”! xxx

    • Thankfifi Posted 23 Oct at 8:57 pm

get practicing my name some more for the next time!

  14. Tyne Swedish Posted 24 Oct at 5:54 pm

Beautiful photos dear! You look so beautiful here! I have had such a desire to wear all black lately…however I noticed that somehow my all black wardrobe has disappeared in the last few years. How that happened I have zero idea!

I think mine is the same – there are still black pieces but I have become a lot more adventurous with colour (and denim 😉
