I had seen the photos of Grand Hotel Central and it’s true, she did not disappoint. This weekend I spent 48 hours in Barcelona with my cousin and, after a quick Google of rooftop pools, I had images of this infinity pool and Sky Bar etched on my mind, I was sold, we were booked up and on our way.
The sun sure did shine on us for all the hours we were awake and we took full advantage of sangria and tapas and as much of the city as we could squeeze into 2 days. I don’t need to say too much about the hotel because the photos probably do all the talking but she was a stunner and right bang in the middle of where you want to be – 2 minutes from Las Ramblas, 3 minutes from the beach and on the edge of the Born district where we enjoyed the perfect evening out (thanks to Instagram for the heads up on Born and to reception for the wonderful recommendation of Sagardi). The food was perfect, the breakfast long (hello buffet until midday), the beds super comfy and the company was the cherry on top – I really don’t get to see my cousin often enough and I am so lucky to have her as one of my best friends. We were already hatching plans to return before we had even stepped off the terrace…
