The Danna, Langkawi

After 6 days in the hustle of KL, we were eager to take the short flight to Langkawi for a little R&R at The Danna.  What lay in wait for us was so much more than we had ever hoped for – a welcome ‘eye opener’ spiced fruit shot with a Malaysian shoulder massage on the side upon check in.  This is one of those places where, from the moment you arrive, you are transported.

The trickle of the three tier infinity pools framed by the white sand beach, the faint chinking of happy hour pina coladas, the soft scent of fresh bamboo drifting through the lobby, the twinkling of piano notes floating out from the Drawing Room, the trees’ freshly fallen flowers on the decking…

If ever there were a place where you simply wouldn’t want to change a thing, this is it.

The Kate Moss embellished tunic (back in stock!) got a lot of air time, airy cotton and with such pretty details, she floated through the grounds and to the pools with me each day where I could quite happily have applied for residency…
