2014 in review

Well hello 2015!  Where did you creep up from?  The start of a new year often seems like a good time to sit down and take a look back at the year just gone by… somehow from day to day and week to week it’s so easy to forget all the things that make this year what it is.  Of course there is so much more to life than blogging that I don’t often share here, like family and friends, which are so important to me but the blog is a space which I love, which I pour endless time in to (along with the ever supportive husband and MrK) and a chance to record memories.

As for resolutions, I’m not one to make and break but for the blog there are some things for 2015 which I am really excited to get started on and I have vowed to regain the work life balance – taking on new life challenges can make sure of that!

Wishing you all the very best year and thank you so much for your support – it simply wouldn’t be the same if you weren’t here with me.x

Here you can find some of my favourite posts from 2014, from Fashion Week where you need to pack 7 pairs of shoes to the polar opposite, dog time, where you need no more than bare feet and beat up denim…  Have a click through.

From Barcelona to London to France, I have been lucky to travel a lot this year.  Thankfifi has brought me some incredible opportunities and I am so grateful for that.  Travel for me is like the food for my soul (and I am always hungry).

There were the hats, savers of bad hair days and play things for the windy days – not without their complications but somehow hats make the simplest of looks more special.

There was Malaysia – a non-stop whirlwind of colour and sound and heat and blogger friends.  I still feel a little butterfly at the thought of almost sending that ‘Amazing travel opportunity’ email to the spam folder… don’t think I could have ever forgiven myself.

There were the coats and the layers (because one is rarely enough in Scotland) and there was the hair, braided, ombre-d and up, and there were of course, my true love, the stripes.

And then there was the trip to rival all trips – from Australia to Bali with the husband to see friends and eat all the food and drink all the coffee and stay in some of the most amazing places I have ever been.  Such a highlight to finish the year on.  Let’s see what 2015 has for us!
