Midas touched me

cardigan – Mango
vest – Mango (now @ MangoOutlet)
gold jean – Mango (similar here)
suede platform – Zara
gold plaited necklace – Marks & Spencer
gold dress watch – Calvin Klein (gifted)
bangle – Accessorize

Dont worry, not in an inappropriate way.  Just my jeans!

As promised heres the look I wore to the girls night at Oran Mor (which you can see as the great backdrop to most of these shots).

I love these jeans but the cut was a little odd, theyre more straight than skinny but not really long or wide enough to fall at a suitable level over heels.  Cuffed them.  Yes I did!  You can call me Jimmy (RIP Jimll Fix It).  Love them like this with the bit of contrasting turn up.  I opted for navy co-ordinates as somehow black came off a bit harsh or a little tacky, Im not sure which, but the navy just worked.

I reckon these babies will be out a lot more over the party season!

By the way, the husband hates it when I wear accessories over the top of my sleeves but I do it all the time.  Not just to irritate him, I’d never do anything like that (see P.S. at post end).  What do you reckon – are accessories over sleeves just plain nerdy or do they kinda rock?

P.S.  You may notice the distinct lack of apostrophes in this post.  As I mentioned the other day, improper use of punctuation on Thankfifi has been giving my poor (language teacher) Mum some sleepless nights.  She informed me yesterday, ‘If in doubt, leave it out’ – so I have.  Ha!  She probably wont sleep for a week after this one…

Great look & LOVE the shoes! I’ve always accessorized outside of sleeves (and gloves) but I don’t think I’ve ever been a nerd (or maybe no one told me)…

I think that accessorises that naturally fall outside the sleeve = fine. ones that don’t (e.g.the watch) and hold the sleeve in place = no

I’ve just discovered your blog, am now DEFINITELY following you! You are too cute, and it’s so nice to find a good blog from Glasgow and not the boring old London or New York. Found you through your post on your Zara printed skirt, am putting it into a post I’m doing on similars. Will link your blog to it xxxx
