The Cumberland Hotel, Mayfair

Whilst in London for the Marie Claire Blog Awards we had the pleasure of staying at The Cumberland Hotel in Mayfair, located ridiculously close to all the action.

The foyer was dressed to impress with huge sculptures – of course I was right at home being an artist and all…  But more from the foyer tomorrow (that’s where we shot my look for the evening).

We treated ourselves to a couple of steak sandwiches in the Kua Bar followed by a nightcap in the Rhodes Patrón Bar.  Seriously cool.  I opted for the Sloe Moe whilst the husband had no hesitation in choosing the Patrón Espresso (decaf though, he’s hardcore like that).  If it hadn’t already been post midnight we’d have loved to check out Carbon but we’d clocked robes in the room and they were calling our names.  Like I said, hardcore.

We might have even made hot chocolate in our luxurious Executive King Suite and peered out the window at our perfect view of the Marble Arch.  And then we might have totally fallen asleep in our robes.  Hard.  Core.

Breakfast was quite the event with different stations catering for all our breakfasting needs and beyond.  Unlike a lot of hotel buffets, the food was actually delicious.  We filled up!

A quick blog post upload in the foyer lounge and our stay was over all too quickly.  10 blissful hours in this Mayfair haven – thanks so much to the team at The Cumberland for having us.
