Let’s rewind a year, let’s also pretend I had a job then that required something more sophisticated than paint spattered artist overalls (overalls were crucial – I once sat on my oil palette, seriously). I didn’t fall asleep planning the next day’s look, I did check the weather but not to plan photoshoots around half hour intervals of sunshine. My obsession with fashion though, that was almost exactly as consuming as it is now – overdosing on blogs? Guilty. Gorging on magazines? Guilty. Absurd amounts of time spent online window shopping? Guilty.
But back then would I have pulled this look together and worn it without any self doubt or hesitation? Almost certainly not. Now I know it’s not crazy wild but I have a serious job now, am one month from turning 30, and I’m wearing this to work.
So what am I trying to say? Blogging pushes my boundaries and I love that. There’s pressure of course to put things together in new ways and style old pieces up to be on trend (hello Office shoes circa 2002) but it’s good.
Thanks for sharing the journey with me!
P.S. Apparently I still feel no pressure to iron…
What a cute look! Love the necklace with the shirt!
thanks so much Lisanne!x

Simply adore the woven bag and the checked shirt!! You are so very creative but in an effortless way my dearest!! 🙂 You necklace seems so wonderful and I did took the close up I refered to in lookbook! Still looking impecable!
btw, I can’t agree more regarding how blogging pushes our boundaries 🙂 Totally true I’ve found myself reinventing ideas that before I considered ludicrous! 🙂
Kiss kiss and a big hug to Karhu! :)))
thanks sweetheart, I would say exactly the same about your style!x
Hey there Office shoes, long time no see! Wish I had the style, and the legs, to wear something like that to work! Love it! Gayle
