Played around with asymmetry this weekend for a shopping trip into town. I was pretty sure my cousin was going to point out my dumb-buttoned jacket all day but either she was too polite or she just knew – this girl is playing with asymmetry to show off and simultaneously balance out her tiny bag. Polite then?
Pretty sweet that my new tiny Laura is the perfect match for Chloe. Both serving their unique purpose – Chloe for warmth (and style) and Laura for a refreshing no-hands-needed jaunt round the shops. I enjoyed the hand freedom so much in fact that I came home with nothing more than a latte in my belly and a long wish list.
Hope you all had a good one – any great purchases? Please share.x

I also like having free hands when I do the shopping. It’s necessary, especially when we are going to try something on:) Your bag is perfect for this and cute.
It was like a light bulb moment for me!
Such a cute little bag! Hands free is definitely best for shopping 🙂

agreed!
It is definitely the perfect compliment to your gorgeous coat. I have a piar of Diesel jeans that look exactly the same!

they’re such a great shape of jean aren’t they – I can always rely on them (and huge heels) to make my legs look longer and leaner
You are sooo the queen of layers….I love the assymetrical way you buttoned that jacket!!!

The Weekend Diary
this coat is never off my back – seems to layer over everything I own!
I seriously LOVE that colour!!! Really suits you xxx
It’s definitely one of my favourites now – funny how at the end of summer I thought I’d only wear neutrals all winter long and never get friendly with the deep colours. Still not on board with bottle green though – that still says ‘school uniform’ in my head!
Ha ha!! As long as it’s not tartan, I think you’ll be ok!!! x
still. not. risking. it.
SCARRED
Perfect layering!!

PS: Your dog is cuter than words!!

Totally adoring that bold purple coat, very cool and such a statement!! Your dog is so beautiful too, damn this is one heck of a fierce and well accessorized shoot! So glad I clicked on your comment that led me back to your blog, and oh yeah I totes followed you since your posts’ contents are info and image juicy so expect to be seeing some regular comments from me, you don’t have to follow me back don’t worry. MAISON MARTIN MARGIELA GIVEAWAY
what a lovely comment, thank you – look forward to seeing you round!
When I accidentally buttoned my jacket up wrongly my friend just came up and fixed it. Without asking – she knows me too well!
PS I want a cape. X
cannot recommend buying a cape enough – so versatile to throw on over anything and everything
p.s. next time, just tell your friend, ‘It’s meant to be like that…’
Well darling polite or not I think you look fantastic! And you are so right that coat and bag do match perfectly! Way to go! This past Saturday I did go to Target and bought two flannels. I love flannel and I am so happy it is in right now so I am stocking up! I also earlier in the week…two Fridays back maybe??? I bought a new bag, two grey cardigans (one is cape inspired) and a flannel (you can see it in my Family Thanksgiving post). I am doing a post on flannel which should go live Wednesday at 6am EST.
