Last night we were invited to USC’s flagship store on Buchanan Street for an evening of, well, you know… fashionable people and cocktails and truly incredible canapes.
Hadn’t really factored in that I’d be creating a mental wishlist at the same time though. Amidst the usual smatterings of pleather, etc. there were some gems. Tops picks of the night – the Rock and Rags metallic jacquard two piece (obviously a favourite in store too as 2 of the girls chose the separates for the night. But why wear just one when you can double up? More is more, right?). And then there was the men’s dept. Is it just me or has menswear become the new lady cool? FYI I hold boyfriend jeans responsible. The men’s burgundy Soviet NY sweatshirt was snapped for later consideration (and deemed now a ‘yes’ – partnered with white skinnies or maybe the jacquard mini…). Also noted my Sydney knit on the wall of fame, where she belongs (remember when I wore it here?).
And there was the baseball cap wall, yes, wall. Would’ve been just plain rude not to try that trend out. Sold?
P.S. That last one’s just for you Sheree.
P.P.S. I wore Chloe coat, Zara tee, H&M pants and M&S shoe (you’ve seen them all before).
3.P.S. I’m off to London tonight! Follow the adventures on Twitter @thankfifi.
