I love this new jacket but there’s a danger when donning it of becoming lady-like. The horror. Nothing against that but I’m not a twin-set and pearls kinda girl. Slouchy knitwear and sneakers soon helped this little lady out.
Ironic then it is that I’m off to afternoon tea at the Hilton’s new tea lounge, Ti, today – you can follow along on Instagram.

thanks Mica – actually this one was a gift from the husband but I’m pretty certain he saw it on my gift guide 😉
I love all the combinations of casual and elegant clothes. Very good look:)
I thought it was best to mix it up so it didn’t come over too prissy
I totally know what you mean! There’s me too against barefaced ladylike.
What you have done in this pairing, is truly elegant but in your tradermark effortless charm.
why is it that we don’t want to look like ladies?! I think Man Repeller is actually doing a couple of posts right now on this very subject – interesting though…
loving this look. your jacket is gorgeous.
thanks sara
LOVE that jacket and your wrist bling! Have fun at lunch..if it didn’t happen already! What’s the time difference anyway??????

I’m not sure but I reckon about 5-6 hours – anyway, strangely my afternoon tea is at 6.30pm so still looking forward to it!
Girl you look killer and I so know what you mean. I am not a sweater set gal either. Not that they don’t have their place…it just isn’t on my body. I mean no feminine is not horrible but it just feels wrong to me and always has. I don’t feel I pull it off well (no matter how many times I’ve tried). I love how you made this jacket fit your style.

I guess I just feel the same but maybe that’s to do with what’s in fashion right now – it’s more comfortable to be a boy 😉
I completely agree girl! I took my Jason shopping last night at H&M because he seriously needs so many clothes and I have to force him in (but he loves me for it later…swear!)!! Anywhooo I was always in love with the H&M guys section before and now…O>M>G!!! DUDE! I wanted to buy so many hoodies and sweaters and cardigans last night it was crazy! But I have always shopped a lot in various men’s departments.

Fair point! My only problem with the men’s stuff if that the shoulders are often very wide but I think if it’s something slouchy then you can get round that. I have a nice plaid shirt from the men’s dept. in Gap! Anyway, I hope you managed to get some clothes for your man and not just for Poppie!
fabulous jacket!
