Sassoon Salon Giveaway

Thankfifi---'Sassoon-Salon-Giveaway'

Complete strangers stopping in the street to say ‘You’re beautiful’?  Happens all the time… to the dog.  I kid you not though, after an hour with Sharz at Sassoon Salon in Princes Square, it happened to me.  As if I wasn’t already in love with my new do…

The cut and styling (we agreed on a catwalk finish) were amazing, you can see that in the shots, but what you can’t see are the tips and tricks I learnt.  So I will forever more request a cool water wash (so relaxing) and never use my round ceramic styling brush ever again (thank you for the last 3 years of damage); after seeing the blow dry Sharz achieved with a much kinder brush, I brought one home for myself and have been using it ever since.

If you know me you’ll know that haircuts often terrify me and I’m pretty picky when it comes to recommendations but I can honestly say that this experience was a complete pleasure as evidenced by all my smiles (in the mirror, at myself – vain much?  Well, with this hair, yes).

I just dream of hair that looks as fabulous 3 weeks after the visist to the hairdressers rather than just 3 days!

Loving the new hair. Its been a while since I’ve been to the hairdressers – January 2012 to be precise! The shame! Nothing fancy for me…just a freshen up…layers, volume and sweeping fringe. Una x

I’m terrie for taking the time to go get my haircut…it’s maybe already been about 8 months ( in my head I tell myself I don’t straighten my hair so there’s surely less split ends, than most) However my long distances between cuts always means I’m pretty up for a change. I like my hair long, but I think now I’m looking for a shoulder length cut with some subtle layers that pick up a slight wave when I just towel dry my hair and go. I’m always on the go so always looking for an easy to maintain hairstyle.

I love the photo of the finished hair. I never really have the time or money do get my hair done more than once a year. I have a 7yr old and a 2yr old. What a great prize. x

We don’t have any Sasson salons here in Australia, so I can’t enter, but just wanted to say I love your hair! Beautiful curls! ๐Ÿ™‚

In a world of over textured, over blonding and hair extensions EVERYWHERE!, I llong for the classic, chic simplicity of the Sassoon classic shapes. I am just loving the Box Bo. Right now. So stunning. Finished with a pop of fashion color or just shiny ass glass. Either way, just BEAUTIFUL!
    Thank you!

Oooh awesome prize! Well firstly I dream of a proper haircut to tidy up my *whispers* split ends, and then I’ll be dreaming of something a bit more textured than my usual poker straight mop! x

Absolutely stunning! You look gorgeous. I’ve forever had long brown hair. I’ve tried blunt fringes, sweeping fringes but it will always be long brown hair. I long for something to make it different- maybe some coppery low lights. I’m a doctor in Glasgow and just find I constantly tie that long brown hair back in a semi wet ponytail everyday. Not very glam!!

  18. 2 Apr / 7:59 pm

I saw your pics on Instagram (I think!) when you were having your hair done and by GOSH does it look fantastic doll! I find it can be tricky to find a great hairdresser/get a great blow dry – they gave you THE perfect finish! Beautiful beautiful! Are you not tempted never to wash your own hair again?!

You look gorgeous Wendy loving the hairdo & pics.
I would like someone to tell me what style suits me & get something different oh & get rid of this grey hair that keeps appearing since having Rory…I’m not kidding its scary how much! X

  21. 2 Apr / 9:14 pm

Looks fab! I’m dreaming of glamour.. Not something I normally manage with my locks!

  22. 2 Apr / 10:41 pm

Brilliant photos! I used to go to Sharz all the time, when my lovely mother paid for my hair cuts!
I’m dreaming of beautiful curls, my hair is so poker straight I can never get curls to stay. ๐Ÿ™

    2 Apr / 10:54 pm

mmmm…..volume…I am fed up of spraying a shed lode of spray everyday to have it fall flat by the time I get to work. I would love an amazing cut that gave my hair the lift it needs! p.s- looking amazing with the waves!! xx

  24. 3 Apr / 12:26 am

Absolutely loving your hair!!!! It’s funny that you should set those parameters for your giveaway because I recently cut my hair (major drastic change) and it’s okay but I have no idea what I really want it to be doing. Now that it’s short it has a lot of natural wave/curl and I don’t really know how to deal with it!

I am dreaming of something that is not so mummy and still shows my age (21).

Would love to be pampered!! I love the loose curls. Stunning!

Thank you for a lovely giveaway! xx

  26. 3 Apr / 1:54 am

You do look stunning with that hair.
And I’m not just saying that because I want to win…lol.
And the style I’m dreaming of….well…the one I can’t have obviously…ridiculously curly curls bordering on afro and a shock of ginger hair. I suspect it won’t happen on my dark brown poker straight monstrosity however.

    3 Apr / 3:23 am

Humm, I’d love the same as you! Think i’d struggle to carry it so well though ๐Ÿ™ I’d love a Victoria’s Secret look with volume and sexy waves. I’d love someone to teach me how to achieve the look at home too, I really struggle with my hair. I work with children all day so usually cop out and pull my hair back. I’d love to have the confidence to style my hair myself and know birds aren’t going to try to nest in it by the end of the day!! Xx

  28. 3 Apr / 3:50 am

I like the way your hair turned out, the color, the wave, just perfect! I wouldn’t mind to visit our local Sassoon for a similar style and color:)

  29. 3 Apr / 7:13 am

I always love Leighton Meester’s hair in Gossip Girl. She has healthy dark brown hair! I love her glamorous curls!!! She looks perfect all the time <3 Your finished hair is stunning too!

  30. Gaylesbury
    3 Apr / 10:35 am

The style I’d be dreaming of would be one where the stylist actually listens to what you ask for and only cuts off an inch when you ask for an inch!!!! You ALL know what I mean!!! x

  31. 3 Apr / 11:57 am

You look very old Hollywood glamorous (: I would love to go back to my old pixie cut….it’s growing out right now and in a very awkward phase. Mia Farrow be my guide!

  32. Lucy
    3 Apr / 3:34 pm

I’m dreaming of a style that looks good when its tied back! I have to tie back my hair for lab work most days and at the moment I just slick it back in to a rather unflattering ponytail. It would be nice to have a softer “up-do” style!

Really need a hair cut and wanted to treat myself after exams if I can afford it! Always feel the same way about going to the hairdressers, such a stressful moment… Would love to be brave enough to try a colour, need a change, and maybe some curls… You’ve got me thinking!

  34. 3 Apr / 10:35 pm

Love your hair, it looks gorgeous. I would be most pleased to walk out the hairdresser looking that good. I have curly hair so my dream chop would be something short to give my waves a bit of bounce and some colour injection would be good to define the curls more. Keeping my fingers crossed ๐Ÿ™‚

  35. 4 Apr / 12:01 am

Wow Wendy you look Stellar? Dream hair? Anything other than what is going on with my current barnett at the moment. Shapeless, wild and out of control it is pretty much the worst at the moment. I thought letting my natural hair grow in would be the best look for my hair and there was a point I was like YES THIS IS A GOOD LOOK. Now – not so much.
The fantasy hair would be Chloe Norgaard’s blue/grey tresses, but really I just want my hair to have some shape. It is after all my head suit.

You always want what you don’t have Mrs Gilmour! Its a gorgeous transformation. You go from straight to curly and I would love to go from curly to straight! Finding a hairdresser brave enough to take on natural curls is a scary mission, hit or miss. I wonder if one of these stylists could take my locks on and win? Would love the chance to find out, gingers (sorry fingers) crossed xx

I’m dreaming of a full fringe cut which I will be happy with and be able to maintain myself.

  46. 9 Apr / 11:42 am

In the hope of upcoming summer weather I am lusting after brightened locks with a bit of oomph. Loving 50s styles right now but I just can’t replicate that shiny volume at home!

  47. 9 Apr / 1:55 pm

Wendy your hair looks amazing in these pictures, the curls are so so nice.

I would love to try a blue hair colour. Not bright blue or baby blue but a real deep navy blue. Almost blue/black like Elvis used to have. I’ve been talking about it for years but never plucked up the courage to get it done!x

I’ve the worst fixed parting in my hair that makes side swiping styles impossible. :I would love a cut that makes the most of the natural waves in my hair. I like my hair to frame my face. I’d love a long sweepinf fringe and a straight or wavey cut.
