Transitions

Thankfifi- Transition-2

It seems these days I talk so much about the weather that I should become a forecaster (perhaps there’s a gap in the market for a weather AND fashion forecaster?).  But the truth is so much of my life is impacted hugely by the weather – my mood, my fashion choices, and… ok, just those I guess.  The weather here is so unpredictable that I check the forecast every morning on my phone as soon as I wake up to see if it will be a day worth taking blog shots and what I might be able to wear.

While I’m so happy that there’s been more sun than usual this past week (because even cold sun is good!), it’s still not exactly been warm.  And so I’m in a transitional phase with fashion; I long for spring looks sported by what seems to be every other European blogger (heck, even the Aussies, who are heading into winter, have their long tan legs out) but the reality is that, here at least, we’re barely moving on from hats and scarves.

So sandals I can cope with, embrace with slightly numbed toes even, but bare legs not so much.  Not just yet at least (these babies will just have to wait).  And I’m over winter coats – it’s almost May after all.  So in lieu of a jacket there’s got to be some serious layering.  Basically this was a really long winded way of saying that double shirts are good right now!  The usual suspects – plaid and denim.

plaid shirt – Zara, denim shirt – Next
jean – J by Jasper Conran @ Debenhams (last worn here)
sandal – Zara (last worn here)
glasses – Mango
belt – Reiss
watch – Calvin Klein, feed bracelet – Links of London
leather bag – Autograph @ M&S

denim leash – Ancol, coat – model’s own c/o Infindigo

I just posted about Glasgow weather as well… Saturday was a lovely day, but still too cold to get the old legs out and get some sun about my pasty knees! Hopefully Glasgow’s time will come soon and we’ll be out getting bronzed before we know it… (Stranger things have happened…)

Lovely outfit – shoes are fab, was admiring them in your last post!

Surely yes that time must be coming…

Was sure I just posted but maybe not! I’m so technologically inept… Haha. I blog about the weather all the time, but Glasgow’s a blooming nightmare. You’ll look out and it’ll be sunny and you’ll think ‘yes!’ put on your shorts and sunnies, step out the door and then be slapped in the face by a freezing wind. Hopefully our time will come and we’ll get some bronze about our faces soon in Glasgow! (Stranger things have happened….)

Love the look, especially the colour of your jeans and you are loving those new shoes eh? Do you use StyleUp Daily? They send you an email, at about 9pm, with the weather forecast for your area tomorrow and a suggested outfit based on your preferences. I discovered it recently and I love it 🙂

    What a gorgeous dog!

Ah, the weather is doing my head in. It was intensely windy yesterday and that is the most frustrating type of weather. I just want to be able to put a summer dress on and go have a glass of wine in a beer garden, please.

Love the jeans, they are a lovely colour.

It’s just so annoying – I could almost cope when London were suffering but now they’re in on the summer sun action I’m truly despairing

We have a looong transition period in San Francisco that never really turns into full blown spring or summer. haha You look lovely and Mr K looks handsome as ever.

I’m with you…….I don’t mind the cold (even a mild wind), as long as it’s sunny! Love your way of styling denim and plaid. Now I’m going to ‘copy’ you!

Still love the colour of those jeans! So sad you can’t wear the shorts right now, what did you get to match them?
