Tailored sailor

Thankfifi--Tailored sailor-2

I will be the first to admit that I spend about 50% of my time in stripes.  So it’s not really a surprise that this top’s been on pretty heavy rotation over the last few weeks (I may have ordered the green one too, you know, as back up).  With the ocean setting in Parga bay I couldn’t resist playing sailor, minus the boat and plus the super short shorts which, I know, really no true sailor in their right mind would wear.  But I’m not a real sailor.

Time to grab your friends, loved ones and barbecues – it’s the weekend and guess what else?  It’s actually summer…  in the UK!  Hope you have a good one and thanks for reading.x

The ‘perfect’ print combo! You know how to mix prints ‘just right’. I believe your weather in the UK is similar to my weather over here. We welcome and praise the sunshine. ‘Sunshine on my shoulder makes me happy……….’.

I’m also a big fan of stripes. I like so much the way you model, you always seem so serene.

hey 🙂 that”s a lovely view! Since you like traveling I sincerely recommend going to Nesebar
they are both towns in Bulgaria – on the opposite side of the country – the first is on the sea side and 2nd is in the mountains. Cheap as chips and amazing nature, culture and things to visit/buy/explore. 🙂

oh my goodness, I just googled it and looks incredible! do you have any hotel recommendations for us?

      • 15 Jul / 11:02 pm

Hey 🙂 I hope you don’t fall asleep while reading this, because it’s a bit long.
There are two main parts of the BG sea side: Nort (sea side villages and resorts near Varna) and South (resorts near Burgas. South is always better because it’s warmer (although the average everywhere is above 30-35. The sand is very fine.
I’ve recently went to Barcelona and I am totally inlove with Spain and the city, but I’d never go there just for the beach – there are very small rocks – the sand is not fine and the water was not clear.
        Well I found this websites:
        http://www.bulgaria-hotels.com/en/V16H_nessebar_hotels/ ;
http://bgstay.com/en-t-43-hotels-in-nessebar-bulgaria ( I can not recommend any there, because I went to visit everyday from Sunny Beach.)
anything with 3 stars should be fine. (sometimes those who claim to have 4 or more stars exaggerate) and all you need (in my opinion) is a good bathroom and a bed; you SHOULD be out all the time from dawn till dusk. Next to it there is Sunny Beach (it is pretty overcrowded and has million pubs n clubs) – I can only recommend going to Lazur disco there. You could walk from Nesebar to Sunny beach for about 1 – 1,30 h. on foot – they share the same beach line. Also in Burgas which is a little bit south there is a sea/botanic garden and (I am not sure but somewhere on the way) there should be an aqua park.
Varna is about 2-3 maximum hours North and you could go there with a bus. There is the biggest mall I’ve ever seen – grand Mall – just next to the bus station. It’s 3 times bigger than Buchanan galleries.
http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/ is another useful website for hotels.

The 2nd town is Vratsa /Враца it’s in the North-West of BG. In the mountains. From the central sqaure (Botev) you could walk 10 minutes till you are in the nature – there is a lake, where you could go for a pick nick/ sunbathe. Or have a lunch in the near by hotel Chaika. Or you could climb! there are plenty of rocks, which are amazing. You have Ledenika – a cave – just about 40 minutes drive from the city center. There you could walk for few hours on the eco paths in the woods. It’s worth a visit for 2-3 days. The fashion there is good – especially from Bulgarian designers, good quality materials and interesting feminine shapes. The prices do not exceed much those in New Look. Amazing dresses are between 25 and 45 pounds.
Belogradchik is less than 2 hours away with a car and there are famous rocks, which went into top 5 of the new world wonders. Or you could visit Varshetz – a wonderful resort with mineral water and Spa hotels – I recommend hotel Ata http://ata-spa.bg/home.html it’s cheaper from Sunday to Thursday 40 pounds per night for a double room and if you get 3 nights there is 10 % discount, for 5 nights 15% off. Friday and Saturday is more expensive – £60 per night. There are few eco paths in the woods there and it is quiet and nice for a 1-2 day stay. about an hour drive with a bus or a car from Vratsa. So if you decide to go there you could travel to the near by places mentioned. here is a link for images of the town:
        https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=vratsa+vratsa&rlz=1C1CHFX_enGB523GB523&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=JW_kUfHWCYKW0AX28YG4DA&ved=0CAkQ_AUoAQ&biw=1366&bih=667#rlz=1C1CHFX_enGB523GB523&tbm=isch&sa=1&q=%D0%B2%D1%80%D0%B0%D1%86%D0%B0&oq=%D0%B2%D1%80%D0%B0%D1%86%D0%B0&gs_l=img.3..0j0i5j0i24l2.19751.20529.0.21000.5.5.0.0.0.0.181.674.2j3.5.0…0.0.0..1c.1.17.img.QnUrz1PyRp4&bav=on.2,or.r_cp.r_qf.&bvm=bv.48705608,d.d2k&fp=d4880850e1b6c880&biw=1366&bih=667
If you go there there is a small garage shop with nice and unique jewelry pieces near the police (there are 10-15 garages that way, which are turned into shops) and the prices start from 50 pence to 1,50 pounds maximum. Also there is a cosmetics shop called Mira , which has amazing nail polishes by Golden Rose – which are like the new Barry M with different colours; or Perfect polishes – just for 1 pound super long lasting. ah sorry I can go on forever. Lastly here is a link with hotels in Vratsa
http://bgstay.com/en-t-19-hotels-in-vratsa-bulgaria I think Nashenci and Chaika are nice. Anything BUT Hemus – the last one is the most expensive, right in the city center and is not worth it (something like £25 per night, which you could get away with £10 at other places.
All in all a good hotel on the sea side for 10 days should not exceed 350-450 pounds depending on the moth.
Good luck and thanks for checking it out 🙂

I am so with you on the wearing of stripes. I can’t seem to get enough, or stop buying them! They just make everything so much cuter, and when you find a top you love, it’s important to have a backup.
