Signature scents

Thankfifi- Signature scents-1-2

I’m sure it’d be great to be that woman whose scent is instantly recognisable as hers and hers alone.  For me though, different days and different places are for different scents.  And who would ever want to discourage a loved one from gifting new perfume – there’s something so special about knowing the scent you’re wearing is the one he loves too.

Romance – Ralph Lauren

The husband gave me this one and I love it – it is indeed romantic.  A floral with good staying power that somehow smells expensive (maybe that means it’s sophisticated?).

Flora Eau Fraiche – Gucci

Just beautiful.  Obviously it’s floral, all my choices are, but it’s good in the winter too (some of the florals aren’t weighty enough for the winter – does that even make sense?).

L’Eau D’Issey – Issey Miyake

Fresh, clean and perfect for summer.  I’ve been wearing this one for years; I wore it when I met the husband and he wore the man version.  Of course I’ll never stop wearing it.

Delirium – Mango (discontinued)

Floral and a little sweet (well, the sweetest I have).  This is the one which gets thrown in the bag for trips and I’m a little sad that I won’t be able to get another one when it runs out.

Oriental Lily – Skye Candles

I love scents for my home too and these candles are beautiful, made in Scotland, and have the most gorgeous scents.  Oriental Lily is a new one for me and I adore it.

Lola – Marc Jacobs

The husband gave me this one on for our wedding day.  I saved it to wear that day for the very first time and, I know it makes me a huge cheeseball but, it takes me back to Chamonix and that moment every time I spritz it on.  It’s beautiful and I have a full one in waiting because I would never want to be without.

Such a lovely collection of perfumes! I have one I wear most days, but also have a nice collection I wear occasionally, some I’ve bought some I got gifted. Like you said, they often have strong memories associated with them for me 🙂

You are not alone. I also have different scents for different occasions. And each of them is ‘signature’ in its own way. =) Btw, love Flora by Gucci.

I also love having lots of different perfumes, two of my favourites are Marc Jacobs ones that you seem to only be able to get in the US. I also have a wedding perfume that I didn’t wear until my wedding day, I love that the smell instantly transports me back to that day, it like happiness in a bottle! (now that is cheesy!!) xx

L’eau D’Iissey (one of the special editions) was my wedding perfume!!! Totally know what you mean about when The Husband gives you perfume and you know then he lines it too, I love Angel by Thierry Mugler but my better half can’t stand it so I never wear it! Lovely post x

I have Flora by Gucci and it’s one of my favorites. Had Lola too at one point but burned through it so quick! 🙂 Good picks.

You’re not alone! I have different scents for different moods, places etc. Love the story about Lola, so sweet of your husband.
I love L’eau D’Issey, my mom bought me that for my high graduation back in the 90’s and I’ve loved ever since. It’s always a part of my collection. Love Flora too!

ooh, I’m not sure sorry – I tried to search for some for you but seems they are not so commonplace! Maybe you need to go to one of the big dept. stores and ask there. Hope you find one.x
