Travel style – the long haul

I got travel on my mind…  In lieu of having another trip actually booked, I can at least be prepared for the when opportunity strikes.  Let’s talk travel style on what felt like a truly epic journey (I think 30 hours for me from Glasgow to London to Doha to Kuala Lumpur – these shots from Doha airport).

It’s always a tough call to know what to wear for a long haul flight.  I don’t want to look like I’m doing that thing where the kids wear their PJ’s out in the middle of day… but I sure want to feel like I’m wearing my PJ’s.  These joggers are super comfy and natural fabrics like silk and cotton are a must.  A slouchy cashmere jumper and socks are in the bag for serious on plane snuggles for one (Boden have some great cashmere options).  Sorry about the sunglasses indoors, I’m honestly not that girl, but sometimes, when you’re asleep on your feet, needs must.

And finally a few words for the toes.  I have to give a massive shoutout to Next for saving the day after my sandals, let’s call them Smirks, failed to arrive on time.  Delivered the very next day, in under 24 hours, these (sold out now but these rock too), the perfect travel companions.  My feet were smiling.

What are your travel style essentials?  And go on, make me jealous… share your holiday plans!

ombre scarf – 7 For All Mankind :: silk tank  – Warehouse
sweatpants – H&M (similar) :: sliders – Next (similar)
glasses – Ray Ban :: pleat headphones – Molami
shaz tote – Mooi

    Love the scarf! A big cosy scarf is an essential for travel for me – can double as a blanket in a pinch, as it can be so cold in transit!
