Wait… what… I was in New York? For 2 hours? Oh yep, that happened! A New York minute and all that…
Turns out last week I had the opportunity to travel to Toronto with the day job and when my flight stopped over in New York for a few hours I wound up convincing myself I would be crazy not to hop into the big city when I had the chance. Maybe it was crazy not to… and maybe doing it was crazy too. But I really try to ask myself, ‘Will I regret it?’ and when the answer is no then I figure you have to say yes to life and these little pieces of chance that come your way. And you know what? Those two hours were awesome.
I saw those yellow cabs and those things that the steam blows out of on the sidewalks and I visited the Nylon offices and had tacos with my US blog family and a New York coffee in the sun and I got a cuddle with Calvin Klein (no… not that guy, this guy) and, of course, I talked Aaron into taking some quick shots for me. Crazy not to right?
So a teeny, tiny nibble of the big apple… but now I know I’ll be back for the rest. Crazy.
