How to layer like a gladiator (in heels)

Where did this week go?  Rewind please…  I wasn’t ready.  I lost a few days somewhere.

Right about now I have travel on my mind – more specifically – packing.  So many bits of looks floating around in my mind right now but somehow, by Sunday, a case will be filled with 9 days worth of cohesive looks (just one case?).  New York Fashion Week is calling and, even though I’m wholly unprepared, I am squeal out loud excited!

Suede is a major contender for Autumn/Winter and this dress is butter soft (although in 30 degree heat I fear I’d be melting like butter… note to self – save for London) and, as it turns out perfect for layering.  Over culottes, what else?  This, I believe, possibly makes the awkward leg length of the season even more off kilter… but some days you just gotta go with your heart.  And if your heart tells you to layer up like a gladiator and wear a suede tunic over ankle skimming pants then so be it.  One thing I know for sure, unless New York freezes over, these sandals are going in the case.  You know when you start packing and put in all your shoes and step back, case 65% full… erm?  Wait?  One case?  Yep,  crystal ball says it’s coming…  Wish me luck!x
