Scottish beach tour – Culbin Sands

Not gonna lie… super happy to be back on the Scottish beach tour.  Have you ever arrived somewhere and just felt happy as soon as you got there?  Culbin Sands is that place.  When you park the car and step out, immediately you’re greeted by mountains of those waving, beach grass whiskers and a white sand path stretching out before you and you say, ‘Well hello happy place’.

Now it might be four hours away but it’s absolutely worth it (and the drive wasn’t half bad either).  There are quite literally miles of beach, we walked for over an hour on bright, white sands banked by a rainbow of autumn forest.  We carried on and on down the sands before eventually looping back through the Culbin Forest tracks, FYI, just as stunning.

A good suede layer and new season boots by Frye at The Outnet which, although they’re beautiful and comfortable and perfect for winter, will only ever be on my feet for half this trip.  Because, even in November, there’s no way my toes are missing this sand…

So there’s no cafe (but you don’t want there to be) and it’s a million miles away (but you’re glad you’re the only souls there) and you can’t get home before dark (but that means you can stay at the Golf View Hotel and watch shooting stars from the hot tub)…  you’ll keep it a secret right?
