Black tie

Round about this time of year I start to get the itch to dress up don’t you?  You’ve almost forgotten party season is coming and then, bang, there she is – sparkles and glitter and floor sweeping gowns, bubbles and baubles and black tie affairs.

Needless to say I didn’t exactly have to think twice when David’s Bridal asked me to play dress up…  floor length stripes you say?  Hello friends.  If I’m doing black tie you better believe my inner stripe addict is going to have something to say about it.  Well this time we’re both happy.

As you probably already guessed, David’s Bridal isn’t just for brides – they basically have every occasion covered with a huge range from cocktail dresses to full length formal (oh, hi stripey!), a great range of sizes and many styles under £100… the good news is that the biggest bridal retailer in the US is coming to Glasgow, Braehead Shopping Centre to be precise, opening its doors on the 18th of December.  Form an orderly queue…  Even if you’re not a bride and you got nothing to go to, I say just drop in, or make an appointment with a stylist, to drown yourself in lace and sparkles and sequins and not forgetting these stripes.

Side note – how gorgeous is Glasgow Uni?  Harry Potter moments happening all over this campus… and me, you know, just swishing around in my gown…
