The temptation for newness is great especially when fashion week hits. Somehow when a major life event rolls around, be it a wedding or fashion week or Saturday night, the lure of a new buy is never far from the mind. But I scoured the (online) shops rigorously pre London and just a few pieces made the grade.
This shirt was one of those pieces. The volume in those sleeves. Now you could probably take a mens dress shirt, unroll the cuffs, leave them unlinked and you’d pretty much have the same effect but that doesn’t shake any of the appeal of this shirt for me.
And new hair. I am so delighted to partner with Sassoon this fashion week because it’s a brand I really believe in – I’ve been visiting Sharz, the creative director in Glasgow, for well over a year now and we’ve built that trust. The kind of trust that you see in my hair being, dare I say it, short(ish). So an update on my previous lob, a smidge more off the ends than before to give a strong base and structure and some secret layers to give that movement, straight but mussed up, Sharz calls it the perfect imperfection. And I like that a lot because imperfect is something I can manage. What do you think?
