Truth be told I believe this is tapework lace but it’s Halloween so let’s roll with spiderweb ok? With Italy behind me (insert teeny tiny sobs) I am in full AW16 mode. I mean honestly, it’s like we arrived home and Scotland had changed colour into that incredible golden ochre that only lasts two glorious weeks and the temperatures had dropped… and I’m into coats. Big time. And channeling those colours.
With the new AW season in mind I was delighted to be invited into the new Phase Eight shop in shop at House of Fraser Glasgow. The space is huge and can we just take a moment to appreciate the dressing rooms (worth a trip for a try on session at the very least). Party season is just around the corner so I wanted to share my favourite LBD and finally decided on this number, Anna, although Amelia and Bella were also very keen contenders. But you guys know I’m such a sucker for lace and the neoprene lining of this dress just holds you in all the right places. And then there was this coat – that colour at this time of year? I just had to. I’ll be the first, ok maybe the second, to admit that I have this obsession with these warm brown tones right now; somehow the warmth of the colour is so comforting when the temperatures are dropping you know? And it goes with literally everything.
So please forgive me this Christmas party dress shoot in the leaves… because I can’t get enough of them and yet, no matter how much encouragement I give the puppies to play in them, they just give me the side eye, slightly embarrassed by my childishness. So indulge me.

Your dress falls so smoothly, it is almost as if it follows your commands. But isn’t that the point? That clothing should follow our movements, our gestures – and all in harmony! Very nice and elegant. The brown jacket really brings out a sophisticated touch. Working for an events promotion company in London where fashion events are big category for us, I get to attend many fashion related happenings. I think knowing what fits your body is just as important as the attire itself. And I can see you have chosen well!

Fell in love with Phase Eight a couple years ago during a visit to the UK. Got married wearing a Phase Eight dress. A couple days ago my dear hubby surprised me with this very dress. Beautiful, comfortable and very flattering. Would love to see a Phase Eight boutique open on the east coast of Canada… please
