Taking the ultimate risk

With a blog trip to Limewood Hotel on the horizon and no conceivable way for me to make it to the shops (I had even left it too late for the inevitable last minute Asos delivery), I threw the gauntlet down…  and asked the husband to shop for me.

The brief was not exactly simple.  I requested something midi or maxi, in my style and linen or cotton – essentially something that I could throw in the case in a heap and pull out littered with creases (under normal circumstances this would be an odd criteria I am well aware).  I had a voucher from Mango and in a bid to give some direction I pointed him there.  And he arrived home with three options.  After a couple of false starts and a firm realisation that the husband had no grasp of midi/maxi terminology, I (or rather he) pulled this beauty out the bag.  Obviously this is my colour palette and the orange ruffle top was always going to be a winner in my eyes.  The floral culottes honestly I was not initially sold on but I tried them and just loved the length and the high waist and when I shared the options on IG stories you guys OVERWHELMINGLY loved this look (I speak no word of a lie when I tell you that I have never had so many DMs and that one hundred percent of them were votes for this outfit).

So, here we have it, what happens when you let your man pick your look.  I had high hopes and he exceeded them confirming my already firm belief that he’s a keeper (hence ‘the husband’ part).  I personally think it is a great exercise that everyone should try at least once.  Would you?  Could you?

Oh he picked so well, this is a lovely outfit on you! The colour on those pants is beautiful I don’t think I’d have as much success sending my hubby to shop for me, haha!

Hope that you have a great weekend ahead of you! It’s really cold here but I’m enjoying layering up for winter 🙂

It’s definitely a test I think everyone should do at least once, even if it’s just for fun! Enjoy your cold weekend – I am looking forward to the sun which is due to shine for once!x

I love this outfit more and more each time I see it. The trousers are great. Has your husband considered quitting his job and joining you in fashion blogging? You’d be the ultimate fashion blog power couple. #Goals! Lol 😉
