Vila Vita Parc – Portugese luxury in the Algarve

Rewind a few months and I received a message from Carrie – something along the lines of, ‘I need a few days away in the sun and was thinking – who likes the sun?  Wendy likes the sun…’.  Well, Wendy does like the sun and after visiting Portugal in June this year I had vowed to return.  Let’s just say, I saw my chance…

We stayed two nights at Vila Vita Parc in a two bed Vista Parc apartment and honestly it was quite unlike anything I have ever experienced.  You can see from the photos that the interiors were nothing short of incredible but the service is the thing that really sets this place apart.

Beginning with a quick tour of the estate, whisked round on a golf buggy and our best fitting suggestions (the adults only pool and breakfast room) in mind, we arrived at our apartment like kids in a sweet shop – two outdoor terraces with plump sofas and terracotta tiles plus two luxurious bedrooms above the most beautiful living space.  We felt spoilt.  And honestly that set the tone…

The breakfast buffet is next level with a huge selection of delicious options including orange juice made from ‘the best oranges in the Algarve’ – it really was.  The food and drink in any of the eleven restaurants will certainly not disappoint and, whilst the prices may make your eyes water slightly, this is not the place to come if you are watching your pennies.  So go nuts, order that chateaubriand for two (we did and it was beautiful), try that sharing cocktail to be presented with a wooden crate full of happiness and paddle over to the swim up bar together and order ice-cream sundaes.  Perhaps we took the romantic route with all these ‘sharers’ and the truth is that we spent our days by the pools in four poster cabanas and dreamy enclaves with an unspoilt view out over the infinity pool to the ocean beyond…  we went all in on the fromance.  And I think that is the overwhelming theme of Vila Vita Parc, going all in I mean, because they put in 110% for you too and it shines through every, single aspect of your stay.

With thanks to Vila Vita Parc for kindly hosting our stay.

This looks to die for, especially on a wet and windy day like today.
