Tartan trews & this old thing

Herein lie the results of my first foray into self timer photography…  And whilst there was something of a catalogue of errors not limited to but including a tripod that couldn’t support the weight of my DSLR, the stunning new signet ring* disappearing into the depths of the tree shortly after I got the shot and a small fly infestation coming from said tree (pest control deemed it safe and prescribed ‘hoovering them up mate’), I am satisfied enough with the results to share them.  Mostly because I have fallen so hard for these Zara tartan trews – ‘plaid pants’ to the transatlantic among us…

Coupled them with this top which dates back to 2001 and formed the backbone of my ‘going out’ wardrobe along with a silver chainmail offering through my art school days.  Please tell me I am not the only one to have hung onto their relics?  (RIP the chainmail by the way).  It might be nothing new, excuse the pun, to promote a dig through the closet archives (in fact I talked about it here in more depth) but it seems to have now become the trend of the moment.  But if I spy tartan trews and I fall in love with them, I am darn well gonna buy them.  In truth, I did in fact order the matching tartan top but I loved the waistline of the trousers so much that I could not bring myself to hide it – and this old thing was just perfect.

Well I spent twenty minutes sweeping the floor and looking under the tree with a torch and then I finally gave up, stepped back and stood on it haha!
