Hunter is two

The two fastest years of our lives…  And unexpectedly the two best years…  In fact so wonderful he made us want to do it all over again (truly if I wasn’t so terrible at pregnancy I think I would have all the babies).

I started the tradition last year, on Hunter’s first birthday, to write him a card to keep and remind him, and us, just how he was at each stage of his life – I thought it might be nice to share this year’s with you –

‘We hope this year you are as full of happiness as you have been all along.

You love animals and especially your doggy brothers who receive more loving hugs from you than they would like.  You like to roar at the lion statue in the park and run up and down the hills again and again and again.

You are obsessed with all kinds of trucks and sometimes the bin lorry gives you a special toot of the horn which you reenact all day with your ‘beep beep’s.

You still love all foods and the only thing you object to is other people not sharing theirs with you.

You chat all day long and it doesn’t make much sense to anyone other than you but you do have some favourite words right now – mopee (moped), lawnmower, car, bad dog, baby, koala, Gruffalo (we know every word to those books by heart now), banana, peese (please), Mummy, Daddy, Gran, Nana, Pa and night night which just melts our hearts.  And you like to practice all those words in the highest and lowest pitch of voice you can manage.  You love a good tune and shake those hips with so much enthusiasm.

You bring us so much joy every day and we love you.’
