All pink everything

You guys I hardly recognise myself…  I have turned into one of those girl mums and I am ALL about the pink.  I think I had this fear that Summer was going to be wearing all Hunter’s hand-me-downs and be mistaken for a boy and, in an effort to combat that, when Babyzen kindly offered to sort us out with a newborn pack* for our Yoyo* I went ahead and ordered the ‘ginger’ (aka pink).  Well, let me tell you, that was just the beginning…  the ruffles, the bloomers, the pink – I am HERE for it.

I bought this skirt* when I was almost full term and managed to wear it just once, gleefully stretched out to maximum over my very pregnant belly, but truthfully I imagined wearing it more post baby – I learnt from last time that anything high waisted with a wide belt is just spot on for tucking a post baby belly into and this skirt*, I am pleased to report, is perfect.  It is on sale but still kinda a splurge but I really love it and reckon I’ll be wearing it for years to come.

I wore this up to town on our first proper day out since Summer was born – a little day date with the husband for the promised, and very long awaited, rarest of rare steaks.  In fact we managed the Finnieston trifecta hitting up three of our fav spots (they’re all listed in this post  if you are interested in my Glasgow hot spots); we kicked things off with a bramble and oysters at The Finnieston, took in the main event, a rare porterhouse steak for two at Porter & Rye and finished up with dessert and coffee at Ox & Finch.  It was amazing.  Our baby girl was an angel and our wedding song even randomly played during our main course – you honestly could not have made it up.  Then Summer was up all night ha.

The husband asked me if I matched my outfit to the pram and truly I did not – I planned to wear this all along but the unintentional matching was not lost on me either…  And a quick note about this pram, the Babyzen Yoyo* – it may have been a gift but it is amazing.  We keep it in the car because it folds so small and is absolutely perfect for nipping out and about and for travel (it folds up to fit in most overhead lockers on flights which is a Godsend).

You look so good and yeey for your first time out since baby, it sounds like fun! 🙂 We went out when our eldest was little and everyone commented how quiet and sleepy he was – he was awake most of the night though, haha! The hospital had ‘quiet time’ with no visitors from 12-4 and so he liked sleeping a lot then, took a while for him to get the difference between night and day!

That’s such a pretty skirt too, so nice on you!
