The August 5

Honestly, I really enjoy putting these monthly favourites together and it feels good to be back.  Sharing a snapshot of my mind this month with transitioning seasons and home plans and my sale edit including those boots…

SHOP

The sales.  It is that wonderful time of the year where the sales hit rock bottom and there are some true bargains to be had.  I have popped some of my favourites below but my advice would be to filter by designer (I take a look at my investment wishlist), then by size and finally sort by price ‘low to high’…

EXTRA 15% OFF AT NETAPORTER – FINAL15

I bagged that sweatshirt this morning which had been in my wish list for months – it looks sold out now but you could keep an eye on it.  If you happen to be getting married can you please snap up that dreamy Zimmermann tulle and could I also have an invite thank you.

EXTRA 10% OFF AT MATCHES – EXTRA10

Chloe shearling boots for £108 (with the code) – need I say more?

THE OUTNET

THE boots.  I hunted high and low, saved ebay searches and found myself regularly in the deep dark archives of Tumblr trying to source these boots after seeing Sarah Sherman Samuel wear them to Jenna Lyons’ party (would rather like an invite to that too thanks) and then, one day, they just appeared, like a mirage in a desert, on The Outnet (down from £710 to £214) – both colours are fabulous and the quality is 10/10 gorgeous.  US9 is equivalent to UK6 and they are currently sitting in the wardrobe awaiting autumn.  I highly recommend.

THE HIGHER END OF THE HIGH STREET

A seemingly random selection but, in my mind, all classics to last the test of time.  In fact I already have half of these in my wardrobe and will absolutely be rotating them through to next year…  and the years after that.

COOK

Epic roast chicken salad by Jamie Oliver.  I made a version of this last week (minus the garlic and switched in my favourite greek yohurt, honey, lemon, mint dressing) and it was spot on for a delicious end of summer warm salad.  Even better, with a warm ciabatta on the side, the tinies liked it too.

WATCH

The latest update to my Ultimate List of Binge Worthy TV is The Dropout on Disney Plus.  Amanda Seyfried charts the rise of this unbelievable real life character to a tee in another one of those ‘cannot believe she got away with it’ stories…

Sidenote: if you happen to shop at Tesco you can boost your vouchers to get three months subscription for £6 (instead of £24) like I just did.

READ

Chris Loves Julia.  I recently stumbled across Julia on Instragram mid way through building and decorating their dream home.  What I love most about their content, other than the inspiring interiors and beautiful images, is their journey – from humble homes to this grand design their spaces are filled with DIYs and the site is just full of information from how to’s to regular features where they test out the best pillows or rug pads, etc.  I am consuming it at a rapid rate in the hope of replicating some of their energy and enthusiasm when our own renovation begins…

WEAR

The transitional blouse.  It is no secret that I love a lace detail and this style works particularly hard spanning a few seasons – with shorts right now and under tanks or over roll necks into autumn – perfect.  I have created a small edit below with my current favourites starting at £35 and a few in the sale too…

Seraphina London kindly let me choose something from their new season collection and I jumped at the chance to add this cutwork blouse to my collection from this beautiful, sustainable and independent, British brand.  If you like the look but prefer it without the floral print they have this gorgeous option in the sale too.
