The Boden Diaries – the truth

A few weeks back Boden got in touch and asked us to work on a special project to share our perfect spring escape look.  I was super chuffed – I love those guys and especially got a whole lotta love for their SS15 shoe collection…

I chose my pieces, I layered up.  I tried to be smart – I had shorts and jeans options.  But when it came to the crunch the shorts just ‘worked’ and it was meant to be spring right?  Wrong.  It was 9 degrees.  I tried the jeans one more time.  Still wasn’t feeling it.  Nothing against the jeans – they’re great, I’ll wear them again and again but for this look, with the long shirt and knit layers, bare legs were winning…  We piled into the car and rocked up at our location with about 8.5 minutes to get all the shots before we had to pile back into the car and zoom home for dinner with the in-laws.  (And also buy and cook the dinner but that’s by the by – M&S Mother’s Day lunch to the rescue – wife fail).  It was cold.  One dog worked it like a pro.  The other worked it like a kid in a candy shop or, rather, like it was his second ever day outside, in the real world, on the ground – fair enough, it was.  But we got the shots and I totally used that puppy to warm my legs up on the journey home… save those 5 minutes in the fridge section choosing lunch where all the looks I got were from sensibly dressed people thinking, ‘Lady, it’s 9 degrees and you’re wearing shorts… you cray-zee’.
