I feel like all my middle aged dreams came true when this gift arrived from Addison Ross… not only was there the most delicious box of Isle of Wight tomatoes in every colour, shape and size, there also lay within, shining like two little red beacons of bobbiny joy, the new Mini Bobs. What an absolute delight to join the table (and if you’re particular like me about the grind quality, I can confirm, they are very good).
Ours got their first outing at my daughter’s birthday picnic which you can see a little video diary of here (including how a complete stranger saved the day).

EAT
Focaccia. My friend brought a slab of this round early in the summer and since she shared the recipe with me, well, there has been no going back. It’s super simple (I honestly just eyeball the measurements though I’m sure that’s not advised) and comes out perfectly every time. I use either of the larger of the tins in this set or, when we had a bbq for 22 a couple weeks back, I made a double quantity and spread it over the two tins – there was NONE left.
Just watch this video to see how easy it comes together…

WATCH
Romance and heartbreak from Sheffield to Sydney – Mix Tape had me rooting for love – we watched the whole thing in less than a week.
Added to the Ultimate List of Binge Worthy TV (which I continually update by way – partly for you, partly just for me).

READ
In a bid to fall asleep without looking at screens I have been really getting into books. I have now successfully mastered the art of falling asleep whilst reading and waking up at 2am with a stiff neck and a book on my face. Some novels have sent me right off to sleep and been a total snooze fest, but here are the ones which have kept me up a little later than I might have liked…

WEAR
Denim. Specifically, this French shirt.
Universally good year on year and seemingly back on trend for AW25 – not that we care about that (though it does give some validity to my ever growing collection). I am looking forward to styling this set (skirt and top currently on sale) when the temperature dips and couldn’t say no to this peplum when it went in sale.
But the star of the show for me has been this Balzac shirt. She weighty, almost like a jacket but not quite, works tucked as well as loose as well as belted and the neckline is just extremely cool (I’m picturing it with a roll neck under in the cooler months). It’s easy to see why this shape is the French brand’s signature and, whilst she comes in bleach and leopard too, the denim is the winner for me – a sound investment and already working hard in my wardrobe.
