A month full of long, hot days and nights was promised but the outlook, in Glasgow at least, is a little less optimistic. None the less, I’m channeling summer with the Glasgow restaurant that has SHOT to the top of my date night wishlist and staying grounded in reality with my most worn shower proof, but oh so chic, summer jacket.
Everything I’m shopping, eating, watching, reading and wearing below…
SHOP
Pretty big news for Glasgow interiors fans – West Elm has landed in Buchanan Galleries via John Lewis. Think mid-century modern, chic, sustainable furniture and decor – stunning textures and shapes…
Take a look round with me here at everything I’d buy for my home and let me know if I made the right choice?

EAT
I was invited along to Eusebi Deli earlier this week to sample their summer menu and it was divine. After hearing Giovanna’s inspiration behind the menu, think watermelons kept cool in the sea translated into salted watermelon with pecorino, green strawberries & mint… shaved ice cones with syrup on the beach reimagined as Isle of Wight tomatoes and fresh mozzerella dressed in sweet basil granita… stories of her Grandmother’s summer table filled with fresh produce and flavours… I have a new ‘Italian summer Nonna’ goal unlocked.
If you make it for a meal you are truly in for a treat and make sure you don’t miss the above as well as the crab arancini and ravioli which were standouts for me.
If aperitivo hour is more your thing then please, please, please trust me and order the lemon fried gnocchi bites and enjoy with a cool Cucielo spritz.

WATCH
Rafa. I don’t even feel like being a tennis fan is any kind of qualifying attribute to enjoying this 4 part documentary about the legendary Rafael Nadal – of course I am but it’s a wildly emotional ride watching one of the greatest sportsmen of our time overcome hurdle after hurdle to honour his own commitment to a sport and career he feels so passionately about. I’m not honestly sure if he’s an inspiration or a cautionary tale about taking things too far? Decide for yourself and catch it on Netflix.
For something a bit more lighthearted, Alice & Steve on Disney is also proving to be a very enjoyable if slightly unhinged and unexpected rom-com.
FYI the full list of binge worthy tv can he found right here.

READ
You know me by now… half way through one project (the utility boot room) and already planning another.
Next up is the master bedroom and, honestly, when this article from Living Etc, 3 outdated bedroom trends to avoid in 2026, landed in my inbox I found myself nodding the whole way through it. Great news for me that my plans fit very nicely into this aesthetic and, whilst I am very much a believer in creating a home that makes you happy, if you happen to be looking for some inspiration, this is a very nice place to start if you fancy breaking some traditional bedroom stereotypes and rules.

WEAR
Urgh, I don’t even know what to say about the July forecast for the West of Scotland but what I will say is that this Damson Madder jacket has been getting a LOT of air time and I just noticed it’s on mega sale – down from £145 to£60.
It’s showerproof, convertible (see video here), a super chic silhouette when it’s cinched in at the waist and seems to go with everything from jeans to summer dresses which, I guess, is exactly what we need right now.
