You might have caught a glimpse of this bejewelled jacket in my Festive five post – I snapped it up on a complete whim when I went into Mango to check out the sale. They didn’t have the plaid shirt I had my eye on and were completely sold out of the waxed jean I’d had in mind but then I saw this. It’s not often I buy something completely unplanned; usually I feel I need another, for example, pair of ankle boots (can’t wait for the Zara sale boots I’ve ordered!) or I’ve seen a piece in a magazine or on another blogger which I want (like the plaid shirt). I don’t often feel drawn to sparkle on this scale but the leather edging and the chain detail completely sold me and I even convinced myself it’d be perfect for business meetings. Really.
Anyway, what it is perfect for is parties! I teamed it up with the BB Dakota shorts I’d been saving for a special night out and the long sleeve turtleneck tee, also from the Mango sale (a much more versatile piece). Loaded on more black with my new leather bag – just about all my bags right now seem to be Autograph right?!
I reckon I’ll probably break the bling out again tomorrow night for the New Year party too but I’ll style it a bit differently – maybe with a plaid shirt if I can get my mitts on one today!
Hope you have wonderful New Year’s Eve celebrations – what are you all planning?
That is a beautiful outfit! I love the hard edge the boots give to it.
