Day 3 of London Fashion Week, aka the sunny day. A sunny day is always a happy day and I donned the only non-coat look from my luggage. I won’t tell a lie, there were some pretty serious layers going on here – firstly one of these which was a last minute emergency purchase because that bang on trend sheer panel did not exactly have protecting my modesty at the top of its list and then secondly the prerequisite thermal. Combine those with thigh high leather legs and a bag built for snuggles and I was one toasty lady. All good for London in February.
Come dinner time this was another story – you guys, shapewear is something surely akin to an external gastric band! I was 90% full after my choc milkshake and consequently my macaroni cheese had nowhere to go… leather stuck to legs stuck to vinyl seat… Fashion week problems at their best.
But let’s talk about this skirt. I first met Jacob in Edinburgh last summer and was immediately taken with his structural leather pieces and I vowed to myself that one day I would wear something of his. Fast forward to his latest collection and I am in love with this Scottish designer. Really head over heels in love. Jacob was kind enough to loan this skirt, probably my all time favourite piece (sheer, leather, ponyskin, patched – a dream), but there are so many other incredible pieces including patched leather knee boots and dresses. I’ve also heard rumours of a diffusion line coming soon – more affordable Jacob Birge Vision – I am pretty excited to see that lookbook…
And guess what else – seems Vogue love Jacob Birge too! Thanks Dvora for the wonderful shot.x
