Happy Monday guys! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend? I’d be lying if I didn’t tell you that one of the highlights of mine was enjoying sunset drinks with the neighbours on the steps and discovering the ‘whoopee stone’ on the pavement right outside our apartment… Basically every time a passer-by walks over said stone it makes a funny noise and I giggle like a Japanese school girl. Best Friday night entertainment ever.
But back to the look… last week Topshop were kind enough to invite me along to sit on their fashion panel as part of the Edinburgh Fashion Festival and I had a quick rummage to find as many pieces from toppers as possible and cobble them into a look. The top that’s really a dress and the shoes that really have ankle straps (but much prefer being mules, hey, you know I’m an animal lover). Scroll down to see more of the evening and my top 5 picks…
dress – Kate Moss for Topshop
leather short – Theory (similar) :: heel – Topshop (similar)
glasses – Mango :: backpack – L.K.Bennett
midi ring – River Island :: bracelet – Topshop
I sat on the panel with the lovely Laura (Edinburgh Topshop’s personal shopper), Betty and Sarah and we imparted such gems of wisdom as which trends should be banished (Betty says the 90’s, I say the 80’s) and which trends are rockin my world right now – culottes. And culottes with pockets most of all. We talked through our top 5 picks in store right now; mine included pretty lace pieces, stripes (naturally) and, yep, you guess it, the shorts that think they’re a skirt. The most amazing part of the night was meeting so many wonderful shoppers all with questions (apologies if my answer to 90% of them was… culottes). Thanks so much to everyone who came along and made it so special.x

Sounds like such a fun evening! 🙂
That dress is gorgeous too – love the details, I can see why you’d want to wear it as a top to have even more opportunities to wear it!
