Man shirts and mini skirts are surely the balance of slouchy summer insouciance. Button it open as low as you dare (and hold it in place with glasses clipped through your lace bralet), ironing evidently optional. Add heels if you want or flats if you don’t. These caged pretties are half off right now and I have to attest to their summer perfection – tan enhancing capabilities, perfectly walkable heel height, just down right beautiful…
The skirt is so old, in fact I’m pretty sure I picked her up for about £5 in the sale a couple of years back, but every time she gets an outing, she gets compliments. The shape is super flattering and the print just makes you smile for miles – I scoured ebay to no avail but did find this little number in the Asos sale which ticks all the boxes.
A friend once quoted my style as ‘daytime to playtime’ and I loved that – I guess this look fits the bill because I wore it for the day job straight through to alfresco drinks with the husband – because it’s summer and you can just do that. How splendid.
