Tia Maria Dark Room

Most Friday nights the neighbours catch us coming home from the local around 7pm and ask if we’re heading out… we’re not… we’ve been out and now it’s bedtime.  We work late all week and now we’re ready for Netflix and shuteye.  It’s pretty wild.  Most Fridays.

Last Friday night Tia Maria were awfully nice and invited me along to experience the Tia Maria Dark Room at Hummingbird and things changed.  I donned a new frock, the check dress that thinks she’s a shirt, and the leather legs and grabbed a friend.  We had a plan – drink Tia Espressos, indulge in the treats on offer from WAH Nails and a new do from Toni & Guy, dance to Gemma Cairney’s tunes and be home, tucked up in bed by early o’clock (and that’s where it all went a bit off piste)…

Say hello to my new friend Tia & Ginger – ginger is a natural health remedy and, as I’ve been feeling a little under the weather, it seemed prudent to stock up on the medicine…  Which helped me dance the night away to the best cheesy pop mix this little lady had to offer!

Toni & Guy turned me into a ballerina (definitely more of the black swan variety) and these guys shook up some more cocktails.  I know he looks like he’s finger snapping to Gemma’s tunes… he’s not… he’s after my drink token.  Fair exchange if you ask me… I’m after his drink.  Perfect girls night!  Thanks Tia Maria.x
