Double capes

Hey hey Friday!  Lots of layers going on today but it is getting mighty cold round these days…  So it’s double capes.  Volume can be good but there’s a difference between voluminous and bulky.  Belt it.  There’s a lady in there!

I have a pretty exciting weekend ahead with a pitstop at Blow to get coiffed before the MTV Awards on Sunday – what!  I’m beyond excited.  (I confess… when I received the invite and first saw that the princess was presenting, my head almost exploded – Kate Middleton is coming to the MTV Awards?!  Oh, wait, the princess of pop, Nicki Minaj… boy am I old.  She’s cool too though – let’s go to the beach each).

So most of this week has been consumed by work.  And when I say work I really mean finding the perfect culottes for the awards.  First I found these checked Whistles beauties, spied at the Harvey Nichols AW show, but it was not to be.  My focus moved onto sourcing an incredible Acne dalmation print pair I saw on the beautiful Hallie’s Instagram… well I found them but at almost £500 they were not to be either.  Good ol’ Topshop to the rescue and the order for the deer print beauties went in!  But noooo, they emailed tonight and cancelled… out of stock.  Not cool Toppers.  Not cool.  At this rate I’ll be wearing my knickers!
