That seventies show

There are a lot of decades I just can’t get on board with – 60’s, 80’s, 90’s (bleh)… but the 70’s is a different story.  Flares?  Hello.  Nipped in waists and belts and suede and big fluffy fur and high necks and maxi skirts?  Hello.  The 70’s is, essentially, the most flattering decade.

These jeans were on my hit list for spring the moment I clamped eyes on them.  Quite fixated I was.  H&M Trend do come up with some real show stoppers now and again.  The sizing tends to run smaller than you’d think so if you manage to get your mitts on these culottes order at least 1 size up (I may have wound up with 3 pairs before settling on the 10 which, honestly, are still very fitted).  They flit in and out of stock but Asos just launched their version which is pretty close and the hem is unfinished so you can cut them any length that takes your fancy.  Score.

And now, le weekend.  Looking forward to relaxing at home with big dog and little dog (who seems to double in size every time I look).  Maybe some brunch, maybe coffee, maybe macarons (it’s been a while), definitely a Saturday movie, unquestionably puppy cuddles and I really need to get some photos of these 2 before they’re the same size.  Fri-yay.x
