First of all I’m loving lightweight trenches right now and khaki is a colour that always seems to sit well with me – good news then that it’s on the radar for summer trends too. And this one is from… Tesco… what?!
Secondly and totally off topic… last night we had our weekly, post work yoga and I went off piste and requested some yang yoga. Usually we practice yin yoga but, as you would well imagine, for the yin there is also a yang. From my extremely basic understanding, yin yoga is all about the calm and letting your body almost fall into the pose, nothing too strenuous but completely relaxing, whereas, the yang yoga has a bit of fire to it with more dynamic poses in faster sequence. Our yogi, Lucy, is ah-mazing and, following my request (about 2 minutes before class began), taught us a version of yang yoga she learnt in India but had never actually taught before. What can I say… my mind was smiling last night. I think I danced on tip toe whilst I cooked the dinner. For real. Can I be totally cheesy right now with you guys? I think I found my zen. That last ten minutes in yoga nidra (the lying down meditation bit) I felt so in tune with my body – relaxed and calm and yet awake. Blissed out. The only thing that came close was that time I hung from the ceiling like a butterfly…
So come on, tell me, tell me… yoga – yay or nay? Khaki trenches for spring? Yin or yang? Thoughts?

That is such a lovely trench coat! 🙂 I like the way you’ve layered it with the striped tee too 🙂
I’ve never heard of yang yoga actually! Sounds like it would be fun to give it a try! 🙂
