So, in a nutshell, culottes are the business.  Denim culottes are a grade above.  And white denim culottes are basically the cream of the crop (see what I did there?).

Top marks to J. Crew then for the Raynor jean which are the best I’ve come across.  They’re:
– High waisted so you can wear cropped tops and shirts with holes in (like this one) and not worry about anyone even catching a glimpse of your belly button.
– Reassuringly thick denim which is good news for white jeans.  You can basically wear your polkadot undies if you like and no-one will suspect a thing.
– Not hungry in the rear if you know what I’m saying?  I have a long body (curse all those girls who got the long legs) and somehow a lot a high waisters really wind up getting right on up… well, let’s just say that these ones are cut just right.
– The perfectly awkward length I have grown to love.  How did something so tricksy to wear become so darn chic?  Nude heels like these Daniel classics are the answer for bambi wannabes.

And now back to Monday.  But not Monday as we know it – I’m going roadtripping…
