This weekend we drove North. We love exploring Scotland and this was one of many trips for us but this time was really special with the autumn colours. Scotland with her scenery and hidden gems like this place, the Speyside Cooperage, really blows my mind sometimes.
I’m sharing a look from the AW Gant Rugger collection and I had a vision to shoot here, at this cooperage, because the collection was inspired by Sonoma vinyards in Northern California. So this is where the story begins, four hours north with barrels being created in age old tradition by craftsmen and stored in giant mountains before being shipped off to vineyards across the world to be filled and decanted many times over, ripening with age.
I love all the colours and texture in the pieces, from the chunky knits, fur collars and cotton shirts to the aptly named ‘tight ass well done jeans’ (seriously some of the best fitting jeans I’ve ever tried) to the softest, tan, nappa leather gloves and oversized scarf for wrapping up in. The colours are neutral but warm and seem so effortless to wear.
It’s the kind of look to wear day in day out, easy dressing at it’s best and I think it complements these Scottish surroundings so well… I hope you like it.x
