Velvet crush

So yeah, I finally got on that train…  the velvet trend which reminds me a little too much of my first Saturday job in the Kylie department of Mackays (now M&Co. – truly showing my age) and drowning in rails of glitter and crush velvet and sometimes even glittery crush velvet…  true story.  But it’s ‘in’ again and it feels pretty nice, when you stroke it the right way at least, and in a slip dress at less than twenty quid I’m willing to give it a shot.  Provided it’s paired with leather layers to firmly eradicate any Kylie inducing memories…

The bag and the shoes, on the other hand, I’m feeling entirely more confident about.  Reiss always knocks it out the park with party shoes (all shoes really) and these aptly named Sass heels are no exception, perfect height, beautifully made, no brainer…  they’re even good with tights if that’s your thing.  Though for me you probably know my winter legs are rarely out of leather (The Outnet is a good bet by the way if you’re looking).  And then the bag, this micro Henri Bendel number that just fits the essentials and has those coveted gold rings, not five as per the Christmas song, but two, and has fast become the festive party bag for me.

Paired with baby Tux, who is almost two and so not really a baby at all (in stature at least), because there have been discontented murmurs about his lack of blog appearances of late and wonderings if he is truly so naughty he has been banished.  Well, you see, he does NOT like to sit still and blog photos, for a fun loving pup who would prefer to be un-decorating the Christmas tree or eating my B-listed window ledges or ripping labels off my clothes, are altogether dull.  But he did it…  because it’s almost Christmas.x

Love the velvet and leather together! 🙂 I know what it’s like to get a dog to sit nicely for photos sometimes, hehe. I rarely have Cooper in the photos, I used to always have him there but I have less time to try encourage him to sit nice lately, ha!

Hope you are having a great week 🙂 Not long until Christmas!
