Hybrid

Spring dressing always feels like something  of a hybrid to me – you’re ready to embrace the summer vibes full on with floaty linens and skin al fresco yet…  it’s basically still cold.  So you add scarves and boots and you wait for the sun.

This shirt from Matalan nails it with its simple blue and white stripe and oversized feel (I went for the 12 when I’m usually an 8-10 and not just because of le bump, I like my shirts loose, there’s more to play with for off the shoulder wishes and half tucks here and there).  Adding a blanket scarf of epic proportions gives the look that hybrid vibe, aka the warmth.  And let’s take a moment to give a nod to the pompom shopper – I couldn’t save it for the beach, sorry not sorry.

We took these shots at the Kelvingrove Art Gallery for Matalan who asked me to share a top tip for my city…  Well, it’s right on my doorstep, Glasgow architecture is on point and one of the best examples is this stunner.  I’d round off a visit with incredible seafood at Crabshakk and drinks at The Finnieston (roll on weekend).
