When crop tops are ok

There are a few very basic rules I like to stick to when it comes to crop tops and when they are ok:

– when you are eighteen
– at the beach
– with extremely high waisted things*

Turns out though that my love for this little Free People crop is so strong that I am willing to partner it with anything from my healthy array of high waisted pieces.  The colour with a tan is just peachy, the fit for me is perfect because the wrap tie makes it a little adjustable (I went for XS and am usually 30E and size 8 up top), it is 100% cotton and it comes in at £40.  No arguments here.  Currently giving strong consideration to this one in the sale too.

In case you are wondering, and you very well might be, I am not sponsored by Free People.  Although I wish I was.  But if I am going to spend my pennies anywhere right now, it is likely going to be there.  Or on overpriced, uncomfortable armchairs that look just incredible…

* Please note that belly button sightings should be minimal…

I love that top, but I am loving the bag more! Or maybe both! Totally crushing on your entire summer look! You just carried it so well. Great style!

Thanks Kate – it seems I am just powerless to pass up basket bags… this one did come with some horrid tacky plastic flowers attached to the top but it was very easy to remove them 😉
