I am officially over heels. There, I said it out loud (or, rather, wrote it down). The thing is that I love everything about heels except for that one sticking point – the heel. In truth they just do not work for my life right now and so, unless I happen to hosting a fabulous soirée in my own home (aka do not have to walk anywhere) then there is a pretty good chance I will be sporting the comfiest, cosiest footwear I can get my hands on… or feet in.
So I pieced together this look at the weekend for a day with the family and although on paper it really seemed like it should not work, I was feeling it you know? Love it when that happens.
I picked out these Mukluk Shortie boots* as part of my ongoing collaboration with Fitflop and honestly when I chose them I had a more casual look in mind but when I slipped my toes inside I did not want to take them out again… so here we are. Of course they have all the usual incredible Fitflop technology in the design (hello Microwobbleboard midsole – seriously) but they also happen to be part of the up to 60% off Black Friday sale* going on right now. And I have a sneaky tip for you too – just enter the code EXTRA25 at checkout for a further 25% off all sale. Here are a few of my favourites but please go have a good browse because there are some incredible savings to be had…
Working up, I layered this satin midi* (also 20% off now by the way – of course it was full price when I bought it – of course it was) with the softest, chunkiest knit I could find. It works tucked in and belted like this but also out loose and belted over the top so it seems like the belt might be key? I guess it is always good to create a bit of a feminine shape when you are working with maximum chunk… so yeah, the belt.
And that is it. Super simple, super comfy. Living my best life and flashing leg.
